How to Get More Google Reviews for Your Clinic (The Right Way)
Most happy patients never leave a review because nobody asked at the right time. A simple routine your staff can follow every day.
When someone searches "child specialist near me" or "dental clinic in Tirunelveli", Google shows clinics with a map, a star rating and the number of reviews. Patients compare those numbers before they call. A clinic with many recent, genuine reviews looks trusted. A clinic with very few looks unknown, even if the doctor is excellent.
The good news: most of your patients are already happy. They just never leave a review because nobody asked them at the right moment.
First, the rules (don't skip this)
Google's review policies are strict, and breaking them can get reviews removed or your profile flagged. Stay safe with these basics:
- Never pay for reviews or offer a discount, gift or free consultation in exchange for one.
- Never write reviews yourself or ask staff, family or friends to pose as patients.
- Don't ask only the happy patients and skip the unhappy ones. Ask everyone the same way.
- Never ask a patient to share medical details in a review.
When to ask
The best moment is a day or two after the visit, once the patient feels better. Asking at the reception desk while they are still unwell or waiting to pay rarely works. A short, friendly follow-up call or message works far better.
A simple daily routine for your staff
- Each morning, make a list of patients seen one or two days ago.
- Call or message each one: thank them for visiting and ask how they are feeling.
- Listen. If something went wrong, note it and tell the doctor — this feedback is valuable on its own.
- Then ask: "If you have a minute, a Google review would really help other families find us." Send your review link on WhatsApp.
- Mark the patient as called, so nobody is asked twice.
Ten calls a day, done consistently, adds up to a steady stream of genuine reviews within a few months.
Make it easy to leave a review
- Get your direct review link from your Google Business Profile and save it on the reception phone.
- Keep the message short: one line of thanks and the link.
- Put a small QR code for the review link at the reception counter.
- Reply to every review, good or bad, politely and without sharing any patient details.
Why the follow-up call matters more than the review
A thank-you call does more than earn reviews. Patients remember that the clinic cared enough to check on them. That memory is what makes them come back and recommend you to their family — which matters even more than the star rating.
Let software keep the list for you
The hardest part of this routine is remembering whom to call each day. Avryon's Premium plan (from ₹35,000) builds a daily thank-you and feedback call list for your staff, with your Google review link ready to send, and reminds them on WhatsApp and email at set times. Your staff make the calls, so you stay in control of how patients are contacted.
